It’s incredible just how quickly the newborn phase is over. I sit here editing these beautiful images of this precious, fresh baby boy as my two year old is running around, playing, and my six month old is snoozing. Wait…didn’t I just had my own newborns in my arms?!…and now even my six month old is pushing me away as she excitedly tries her hand at crawling and catching up to big brother’s tricks. One more reason it is such a treasure to have those first moments captured when your babe is brand new and so teeny tiny. Newborn sessions are worth the investment!!! As a new mom, you quickly find that everyone (and I mean EVERYONE…even strangers in the grocery store!) will tell you, “they grow so quickly!”…and they’re not lying. It is such a gift to have beautiful photos to hold and remember the first few days with your little one.
So before I run off to go hold my babies and pray that they stop growing…I am happy to share with you some tender moments between my new friends, PJ & Lindsay and their perfect little boy, Patrick. He has such a peaceful and content demeanor and even snuck in a few smiles for us throughout our session!
Remember when the leaves were just changing & it was warm outside? With these wintry days settling in to stay, I barely do…but these photos are proof that it happened! On this gorgeous fall day a couple weeks ago, I got to photograph my friends…beautiful people with even more beautiful hearts!
Meet the Hudzina clan! This family has been in our lives for quite some time & I’m so grateful to now be doing ministry so closely alongside of them! Tom is the pastor at our church, Liberti Church (come check it out!) where my hubby & I are the Directors of Music Ministry. Tom & Danae have become dear friends to us and I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to photograph their family. Their boys are a ton of fun & had me laughing throughout our whole session. (I can’t believe my babies will some day grow to be as big as them…eee!!)
Enjoy this special feature!
One of the things that is so incredible about being a photographer is being able to document families as they grow…and this family, in particular, I’ve had the gift of photographing them in season after season for years! I remember snapping images when their baby girl was born…and now look at her! It feels extra special to me, now that I’m a mom, to want to freeze some of these moments when your babies are at every age…and I’m so glad I get to do just that for people!
Enjoy another beautiful session of the Howell family! …and congratulations to them for, AGAIN, managing to schedule their session on the most perfect fall evening and gorgeous golden hour!
I can’t seem to figure out what day it is lately…everyday feels like a Monday & the laundry and dishes seem to be winning…but! One thing I do know is, in the midst of the busyness and chaos of this season with my littles and balancing a lot of hats, I have a small handful of women in my life who help keep me sane and remind me I’m not alone. One dear friend, in particular, gives me wisdom and covers me in prayer, constantly inspiring me as a mother and Jesus-lover, reminding me to soak in the joy of the present (even when I can barely run a brush through my hair because of the amount of dried spit-up from my darling reflux-babe!)…and, when all else fails, offers wine and chocolate and coffee.
Without further adieu, allow me to introduce to you my beautiful saint-friend, Bridget!! …and prepare your hearts to melt from the cuteness and spunk that is oozing from her three kiddos (& hubby, too!)!
